When you complete the property audit on this website, we collect the information you submit, which may include:

• Your first and last name
• Mobile number and email address
• Property postcode and ownership status
• Household energy details you choose to share (quarterly bill range, planned upgrades such as EV, pool, heat pump, gas disconnection)

We do not collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act), payment details, or government identifiers through this website.

3. Why we collect it

We use your information for one purpose only: to generate your personalised solar audit report and to contact you by phone, SMS, or email to verify the audit and discuss the results. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing.

4. Who we share it with

Nobody. Your details are used internally by Victoria Solar Review only. We do not sell your information, do not pass it to solar installers or retailers, and do not provide it to third-party marketers or lead-generation networks.

The only third parties involved are the infrastructure providers we use to deliver the service — secure cloud hosting, email delivery, and SMS delivery providers — and only to the extent strictly necessary to operate the site and contact you about your audit.

5. How long we keep it

We retain audit submissions for 12 months from your last contact with us. After that period we delete or de-identify the records, unless we are required to keep them longer to comply with a legal obligation.

6. How we store it

Information is held on reputable cloud infrastructure with industry-standard access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

7. Cookies and tracking

This website uses only essential cookies required to operate the audit form. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, retargeting tags, or any other third-party tracking. If we introduce analytics in future, this policy will be updated and an appropriate consent mechanism added.

8. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
• Ask us to delete your information
• Withdraw consent for further contact at any time
• Make a complaint about how we have handled your information

If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy concern, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au. We also comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme and will notify affected individuals and the OAIC if a qualifying data breach occurs.
