Victoria Solar Review is operated by Grant Cramer (ABN 37 015 427 062) (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What we collect

When you complete the property audit on this website, we collect the information you submit, which may include:

• Your first and last name
• Mobile number and email address
• Property postcode and ownership status
• Household energy details you choose to share (quarterly bill range, planned upgrades such as EV, pool, heat pump, gas disconnection)

We do not collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act), payment details, or government identifiers through this website.

3. Why we collect it

We use your information for one purpose only: to generate your personalised solar audit report and to contact you by phone, SMS, or email to verify the audit and discuss the results. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing.

4. Who we share it with

Victoria Solar Review is an independent solar and electrification advisory service. We use the information you submit to prepare your solar assessment and to contact you about your enquiry.

We may introduce customers to vetted installation partners and may receive a fee if a customer proceeds. Your details are only provided to an installer or solar provider where you have agreed to that introduction. We do not sell your information and do not provide it to third-party marketers or lead-generation networks.

The other third parties involved are the infrastructure providers we use to deliver the service — secure cloud hosting, spreadsheet storage, email delivery, and SMS delivery providers — and only to the extent strictly necessary to operate the site and contact you about your audit.

5. How long we keep it

We retain audit submissions for 12 months from your last contact with us. After that period we delete or de-identify the records, unless we are required to keep them longer to comply with a legal obligation.

6. How we store it

Information is held on reputable cloud infrastructure with industry-standard access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

7. Cookies, tracking and advertising measurement

This website uses essential cookies and local storage required to operate the audit form and to remember your tracking preference.

We also use the Meta Pixel and related Meta technologies to measure the performance of our advertising and understand how visitors interact with this website. The Meta Pixel is provided by Meta Platforms. Where it is active, Meta may receive information such as pages visited, interactions with the site, device and browser information, IP and network information, the referring URL, and conversion events such as completion of the solar audit.

Information collected through these technologies may be processed by Meta in accordance with Meta’s own privacy policies.

We do not intentionally send the answers you enter into the solar audit questionnaire to Meta. We do not send your name, phone number, email address, property address, electricity usage answers, or other form-field content to Meta through Pixel parameters. We apply data minimisation and send only the information required for advertising measurement.

Non-essential advertising and tracking technologies do not run until you accept them. You can accept or reject them using the privacy banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your choice at any time using the Privacy choices link in the website footer. The solar audit works normally either way.

8. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
• Ask us to delete your information
• Withdraw consent for further contact at any time
• Make a complaint about how we have handled your information

To make any of these requests, email us using the contact details below. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy concern, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au. We also comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme and will notify affected individuals and the OAIC if a qualifying data breach occurs.
